Melissa Richa – Associate Lawyer
Melissa obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph, where she also completed a minor in Hispanic Studies and received the Spanish Embassy Prize. She graduated from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2017. While in law school, she acted as a student caseworker at the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic and the Queen’s Family Law Clinic, helping disadvantaged residents of the Kingston community with issues in the areas of family law, landlord and tenant law, criminal injuries compensation, and social assistance review board appeals.
Melissa first joined the firm as a summer student in 2016, and completed her Articles of Clerkship with us in 2017-2018. Following her call to the Bar in 2018, she returned to the team as an associate, where she practices in the areas of family law.
Melissa is fluent in French and Arabic. When she is not in the office, Melissa enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking and reading. She plans to one day adopt a rescue pug (or two).
